Acco Festival Portable Toilets – Case Study

Restroom solutions in the heart of the Old City

  • Location: Old City of Akko (Acre)
  • Attendance: About 25,000 visitors over the festival days
  • What we supplied: Dozens of portable toilets, plus ongoing service and maintenance throughout every day of the event.

The Acco Festival of Alternative Theatre is one of Israel's longest-running, most distinctive and most acclaimed cultural events. Every year, the festival turns the historic buildings and alleyways of Akko's Old City into one giant stage, drawing tens of thousands of culture, art and theater lovers from all over the country. A multi-day event like this needs reliable restroom infrastructure that serves the audience without interruption.

Complex Logistics and a Long-Standing Partnership

Setting up temporary logistics infrastructure inside an ancient city with narrow alleys and historic architecture is an operational challenge that takes experience, maximum precision and deep familiarity with the site. Beresheet is proud to have supported the festival for many years, providing solutions tailored precisely to the character of the place.

Our solution for the Acco Festival included:

  • Deployment tailored to the terrain: Smart, careful placement of dozens of portable toilets at key points throughout the Old City, ensuring easy access for visitors and keeping the crowd flowing between performance venues.
  • Continuous multi-day servicing: Because the festival runs over several busy days, we provided a reinforced team of field staff who handled cleaning, pumping and ongoing maintenance of the units during all operating hours – ensuring a pleasant, hygienic experience from the start of the festival to the very end.

Planning a multi-day festival or an event in an unusual location? Beresheet has the experience and the tools to deliver restroom infrastructure even in especially challenging conditions, over the long haul.
